I’m Kristy, a former teacher who traded snow boots for sandals and swapped the Alaskan tundra for Texas heat (and a whole lot more humidity).

After a decade of teaching in remote villages along the Bering Strait, I felt God nudging me toward a new chapter: homeschooling my two kids and launching The School Supply Shelf, my little online shop for teachers, homeschoolers, and anyone who loves a good set of markers and a fresh start. Homeschooling has been everything all at once: exciting, exhausting, humbling, and holy. Some days feel like victory laps, others like spelling test without a pencil, but I wouldn’t trade it.

✨ A Little Alaska Story Before You Go

When I was about seven, I used to tell my Texas grandparents that someday I’d move to Alaska. I also told them I wanted to drive and ride in a limo. Fast forward a few decades: I never did ride in a limo, but I did move to Alaska for 12 unforgettable years. And honestly, I think God gave me something even better than a stretch car. He gave me a stretch of life I’ll never forget.
